Polaris Won an Award For Having a Cool As Heck UTV

UTVs are inherently cool things. That's just an undeniable fact, as what you're getting for what you're paying is insane. Honestly, what you have are mini trophy trucks capable of doing insane things at insane speeds. It's a wonder how the go-fast side-by-sides are even legal, as the next best thing involves far less clothes.

But while I'm a fanboy myself, I don't expect everyone else to think these machines are as cool as I do. Yet, they have seen recent breakthroughs with the normie population, as more and more folks choose to explore the great outdoors from behind their wheels. And the public adoration is growing by the day, which is why you get Polaris being included in more general public award ceremonies, and winning.

Yet, Polaris didn't just win an award for its RZR UTV. No, it won an award for its military-spec RZR UTV, which is arguably cooler than the standard one you or I can buy at a dealership. Why? Because the MRZR comes with armor and guns, and that's always cooler than one without those things.

If I give them an award, can I, too, get an MRZR with armor and guns? Cause...

Polaris' award comes from Minnesota's Chamber of Commerce, in relation to its annual "Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota" award. According to the Chamber, 64 products were considered, and after thousands of public votes, that pool was narrowed down to just four finalists. Those included ATZ Manufacturing's Trackchair, Cirrus Aircraft's SR Series G7+ plane, Minnesota Teardrop Trailer's Vistabule Teardrop Trailer, and Polaris' MRZR.

The Chamber then selected the winner from that group, i.e. the Polaris MRZR. And honestly, though I think planes are cool and all, the MRZR is the easy choice. But again, I'm biased.

According to the release, "The MRZR’s military modifications include infrared and blackout lighting, greater range and collapsible roll cages for internal transport in helicopters and aboard naval vessels. Added payload capacity contributes to the mission even more – MRZR Alpha 6x6 carries more than a humvee and still fits inside the V-22 helicopter’s 60in x 60in cargo hold. Speaking of cool, an Arctic kit with tracks that replace the wheels can operate in –40F. And vehicle-provided power is enough to run equipment, enable systems that fight drones and allow communication globally."

It added, "MRZRs have been delivered to 50+ allied militaries worldwide, including every service in the U.S., for 10+ years. All MRZRs are built on a dedicated military production line in Polaris’ 800,000 sq. ft. manufacturing center in Roseau, leveraging skilled Minnesotans and multiple Minnesota suppliers."

I'd like to reiterate that if Polaris wants another award, and will leave one with me for an indefinite amount of time, along with a bunch of ammunition and the NODs to go with the infrared lighting, I can certainly write something up and build a dope award. Just saying.
