Poland vs Colombia LIVE World Cup 2018: Latest score, goals and updates plus prediction, how to watch online, team news, line-ups, betting odds
Colombia are likely to have star man James Rodriguez back from injury as they look to quickly make up for their 2-1 defeat against Japan. Carlos Sanchez received an early red card for handball which led to Shinji Kagawa’s early goal from the spot. Colombia clawed the game back but ultimately lacked the creativity and composure that Rodriguez offers them in the final third.
Centre-back Kamil Glik has returned to full training can could start for Poland after they failed to put on a good display against Senegal in their 2-1 defeat.
This will be the first ever competitive match between the two sides and a win for either team will leave their opponents scrambling on zero points. Defeat for both teams is not an option. Whatever the result, it will be a fascinating and open game.
Thanks for staying with us today, for one of the most exciting days of World Cup action so far. We've witnessed the first big name to be eliminated in Poland, and brought to a close the second round of group stage games.
We'll be here again tomorrow as the third round of games gets underway.
Yerry Mina, Radamel Falcao and Juan Cuadrado all on target as a lacklustre Poland are OUT of the World Cup. Colombia look a serious force to be reckoned with, and assuming they qualify, one England will want to avoid at all costs
85 mins: Colombia almost have four but have an effort cleared off the line, before one of the most bizarre efforts from a free kick that you will see this World Cup from James Rodriguez
That's the end of Poland, with brilliance from Colombia. On the break, again, Cuadrado still has plenty to do with almost half the pitch to run into, but a couple of touches out of his feet and a finish into the corner.
If you're watching this and fancy Colombia against England in the last 16, then you've more faith than me.
He's had a long wait to perform on the world stage, and Quintero gives Falcao a perfect pass. Through one-on-one with Szczesny he stays calm and fires it past him. That, short of a miracle looks to be the end of Poland's World Cup...
69 mins: Poland have a free kick, and it all gets a bit messy. Ultimately Colombia manage to get it clear and they can build again. Poland's best chance looks to be from a set piece, perhaps the only way they can get a delivery into Lewandowski
59 mins: Nearly an hour in and a long ball from defence finally gives Robert Lewandowski a chance. Ospina saves and has since gone down injured (again). Looks to have caught one in the ribs but is back on his feet and ready to continue
56 mins: Colombia break again through Rodriguez, and Quintero has a shot blocked and out for a corner. It's cleared before Cuadrado sends a long range shot into row Z
52 mins: Someone tell Poland they need to score or they're out of the World Cup! Colombia with most of the chances early in the half, and even more dangerous on the break, as eventually Poland will probably decide to push bodies forward
If things stay like this Poland are out of the World Cup! Yerry Mina with the Colombian goal, after a beautifully worked short corner. Colombia are deservedly ahead with much of the better play in that half, and Robert Lewandowski has found himself isolated again for Poland.
Poland vs Colombia kicks off at 19:00 at the Kazan Arena
Where can I watch it?
ITV will be showing live coverage on ITV 1 and online on the ITV Hub
Odds
Poland: 5/2
Colombia: 5/4
Draw: 12/5
Prediction
2-2. Colombia only know one way to play, and with Rodriguez back in the side they should be able to break through Poland’s defence. That said, Colombia will be exposed at the back and Robert Lewandowski will be itching to open his World Cup account.
