When you’re just cruising to work or grabbing a Sunday coffee run, gear feels like a formality. Helmet, jacket, gloves, done. But when you’re hurling a 450-pound adventure bike up a mountain ledge with no margin for error, gear isn’t background noise. It’s survival.
That’s the headspace Pol Tarrés lives in, and it’s where REV'IT! decided to plant a flag with its latest adventure riding collection.
Tarrés isn’t your average enduro rider. The Spanish madman has a reputation for taking Yamaha’s Ténéré 700 to places it has no business being. He’s the guy you see balancing across boulders, climbing impossibly steep switchbacks, or chucking the bike sideways off rally dunes. He’s raced Erzberg, the Africa Eco Race, and he’s turned the big-bike game into a spectator sport. If he’s trusting a piece of kit, it’s because it can handle a level of abuse most of us won’t ever come close to.
That’s where REV'IT! comes in. The Dutch brand has been doing its thing since the mid-90s, and its personality sits in this sweet spot between technical precision and understated cool. It’s not loud or flashy, but it’s far from bland. It’s gear for riders who want to look sharp but also want to know their stuff has been tested in the real world, not just in a lab or in some computer simulation.
And so, in many ways, this collab with Tarrés feels like the natural evolution of that DNA.
The standout piece is probably the Sweater Trazada. At first glance it looks like something you’d wear around camp, but it hides a trick: a back pocket that takes REV'IT!’s CE-level 2 protector. Add in CE-level 1 pads at the elbows and shoulders, and you’ve got casual styling with real protection. If you want to push things further, you can size up and slip an Avertum Tech-Air or Tech5 airbag under it. Price? $289.99. Not bad for something you’ll wear off the bike too.
Pol Tarrés x Rev’It! Collection: If He Can’t Break It, You Probably Won’t Either

Step up to the Morocco or Africa jackets at $319.99 and $389.99, respectively, and you’re getting some serious adventure kit with ventilation, abrasion resistance, and a cut designed to move when you’re standing on the pegs. At the top of the line is the Vision H2 jacket. This is the kind of gear you’d want if you’re riding through a thunderstorm in the Rockies or hammering down a Baja wash in winter. It uses a three-layer hydratex membrane laminated to tricot, which basically means it’s waterproof, breathable, and tough as nails. It’ll set you back $499.99, but it feels like the kind of jacket you’ll hang onto for a decade.
Gloves round out the set: the lightweight Tacto variants at $52.99, or the beefier Escondido gloves at $74.99. Both come in two styles, giving you options depending on whether you’re chasing airflow or more all-around durability.
The way I see it, this isn’t just merch with a pro’s name slapped on it. Tarrés is someone who straight up destroys gear for a living. If it survives him, it’ll survive you riding to the trailhead, bombing a gravel road, or picking your way through singletrack. Most of us will never ride at his level, but if the guy who wheelies a Ténéré up a mountain signs off on this kit, that’s all the endorsement you need.
