"Pokémon Winds and Waves" has been subject of multiple leaks over the past months, and a new one talks about as many as seven new Pokémon reportedly coming to the game and joining the Pokedex.
'Pokémon Winds and Waves' Leak 7 New Pokemon
Centro Leaks shared a post on X, citing the original leaker named Billy, a source with a track record in the community, including leaking "Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen" as ports on the Switch.
The post points to seven brand-new Pokémon coming to Generation 10, centering on an image collage featuring all the references to the reported new Pokémon.
The leak itself does not come with labeled concept art or clear descriptions, as it uses a collection of images featuring various animals, people, and fictional characters as riddles for what the new Pokémon might look like.
That format makes the leak harder to verify but also harder to dismiss outright, given that the animals mentioned in the clues are largely native to Southeast Asia, which is the confirmed inspiration for "Winds and Waves'" island setting.
Nothing is confirmed, and the Nintendo Switch 2 has reportedly been impossible to datamine so far, meaning this information did not come from the game's files directly.
The riddle season is back!

Leaked Pokémon Are Coming to 'Winds and Waves'
Based on Centro Leaks' post and the interpretation of the riddles, seven new Pokémon appear to be hinted at (via GameRant):
- A bird Pokémon , described with pirate themes and possibly a wooden leg, suggesting a swashbuckling design.
- A kangaroo Pokémon inspired by the Vogelkop Tree Kangaroo, a real species from New Guinea. The clue also references boxing and a mountain in Nepal called Machapuchare, hinting at potential Fighting and Rock-type elements.
- A Komodo dragon Pokemon that may be able to spit fire. This is said to be separate from Gecqua, the Water-type starter, so the two are not expected to share a design lineage.
- A long-beaked echidna Pokémon with possible ties to a sniper theme, suggesting the beak could function as a ranged weapon or be incorporated into the Pokémon's battle moveset.
- A tapir Pokémon connected to a Buddha statue from Thailand. This could be an entirely new Pokémon or a regional form of Drowzee, which is also based on a tapir.
- A rabbit Pokémon , possibly female, with ties to the moon. This could be a version-exclusive to "Pokémon Waves."
- A knobbed hornbill Pokémon , possibly male, tied to the sun. This species is native to Indonesia and could be a version-exclusive to "Pokémon Winds."
What to Expect From 'Pokémon Winds and Waves'?
"Pokémon Winds and Waves" is a Switch 2 exclusive set in a new region inspired by the islands of Southeast Asia, spanning a vast open-world archipelago.
The game was announced onPokémon Day 2026 with a release window of 2027, alongside the three confirmed starters: Browt, a Grass-type bird; Pombon, a Fire-type Pomeranian puppy; and Gecqua, a Water-type gecko.
The seven leaked Pokémon, if accurate, would significantly expand what is currently known about the Pokedex heading into Generation 10. Fans may need to wait until closer to the game's launch, or potentially until Pokémon Day 2027, for official reveals of any new Pokémon beyond the starters.
