Pokémon breeding could receive significant improvements in "Winds and Waves" if some fan suggestions become reality.
A recent Reddit discussion has sparked debate about how Game Freak could make the breeding system more engaging for collectors, competitive players, and fans who enjoy customizing their Pokémon.
Although breeding has evolved significantly since its introduction, some players believe the mechanic still has room for deeper inheritance features. Suggestions include passing down Pokémon sizes, personality Marks, Poké Balls, moves, and even certain visual traits.
Pokémon Breeding Could Add Size Inheritance
One of the most popular suggestions focuses on Pokémon size. A fan proposed allowing an offspring's eventual size to be influenced by the sizes of its parents.
Under the proposed system, the game could calculate the parents' sizes and use the result as a starting point, with some random variation determining the offspring's final size. This could make size more meaningful and give breeders another reason to carefully choose which Pokémon they use as parents.

Another proposal suggests slightly improving Shiny odds when breeding a Shiny parent. A more ambitious concept would allow offspring to inherit elements of a parent's color palette, creating new forms of visual customization.
