Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is getting consistent updates, and more special Tera Raids are coming to the game. You can start by fighting Unrivaled Charizard right now, a special Dragon Tera Type. Of course, fighting a creature that is called “Unrivaled” is easier said than done.
For everything you need to know to take down Unrivaled Charizard and catch the Dragon Tera Type Pokémon during this event, just read through all of our information below.
You have until December 4 at 7pm ET to catch this Pokémon, and will be given another chance from December 15 to 18. If you don’t manage it this time, make sure to prepare your Pokémon for the next fight!
Unrivaled Charizard Tera Raid details – Scarlet & Violet

This is the first 7-Star Tera Raid in Scarlet & Violet, so it’s a big deal. The Unrivaled Charizard will always be Dragon Tera Type, and to even get started with it you’ll need to have unlocked 6-Star Tera Raids, which requires significant progress through the Scarlet & Violet post-game.
Once that’s done and you’re hosted a few 5-Star Tera Raids, you’ll unlock 6-Star Raids about with 7-Star Raids.
Best Pokémon to beat Unrivaled Charizard – Scarlet & Violet

Remember: when Terastallized, a Pokémon’s Tera Type overwrites its main type. This means Unrivaled Charizard is basically a pure Dragon-type Pokémon, which infamously has few weaknesses. But still, we can use Fairy, Ice, and Dragon-type moves to take it down.
Of course, Unrivaled Charizard will have access to Fire and Dragon-type attacks, meaning Ice and Dragon-type Pokémon are bad choices for this engagement.
If you want the best possible Pokémon to take down Unrivaled Charizard, you should use Azumarill. Azumarill is a Water/Fairy-type, giving it resistance to Fire and Dragon-type attacks. If you fight against Unrivaled Charizard with a team of Azumarill, you should come out on top. If you don’t have Azumarill, you could try Sylveon or Flutter Mane.
