Pokémon Presents: Start time and how to watch the Sword and Shield event in the UK

Pokémon Presents starts at 2pm BST (Picture: Pokémon)

Pokémon Presents, a surprise-announced live stream has happened earlier today, giving an update on new Pokemon games currently in development.

From Pokémon Snap to updates on Pokémon GO, check out this article here to see everything announced at the event.

Pokémon Sword and Shield's first expansion is live today, so we can probably expect this live stream to give us something of a dive into what is coming.

We know quite a bit about the Isle of Armour DLC, but not so much about the next expansion Crown Tundra, which will be coming out later this year.

Pokémon Presents will likely dive into what is next for the popular Nintendo Switch game, but it seems unlikely Nintendo would announce a brand new Pokémon game on the Switch.

Regardless, we could still be seeing a bunch of new Pokémon announcements for mobile, especially Pokémon GO and some new merchandise and toys.

How to watch Pokémon Presents live stream

Pokémon Presents kicks off on June 17 at 2pm BST.

You can watch the official stream on the Pokémon YouTube channel below.

What can we expect from the stream?

Tomorrow will be the official launch of Pokémon Sword and Shield's Isle of Armour DLC, so it seems likely we will be getting a deeper look at the expansion key features and perhaps even future plans.

There could also be an update on Pokémon GO, the mobile sensation. Other than the changes made to the game to allow people to keep playing while stuck inside and social distancing, there hasn't been a huge or significant update in a long time now.

It could also be possible that we're going to see new Pokémon spin-off games for console and mobile, as well as new Pokémon toys and maybe even starter decks for the trading card game.
