'Pokémon Pokopia' Expansion Pass Promotional Art Shows 2 New Pokémon, New Feature

"Pokémon Pokopia's" upcoming expansion pass is still months away from its first drop alongside the "Bubbly Basin" DLC, but a recent discovery shared confirmation on which new Pokémon are joining the game.

Additionally, the latest confirmation also shared the accessories and new features expected to arrive via the Expansion Pass and DLC.

'Pokémon Pokopia' Expansion Pass Details Confirmed

New promotional artwork for the "Pokémon Pokopia" Expansion Pass has surfaced, and it appears to confirm two water-type Pokémon joining the game alongside a new feature that fans have not seen before.

Pokémon database site Serebii.net was among the first to flag the new art, which quietly packed in a handful of details about what's coming to the popular "Pokémon" life sim.

The Expansion Pass for "Pokémon Pokopia" is structured as a three-part paid DLC, with Part 1 scheduled to arrive in August 2026. A free update is also set to roll out alongside it, bringing Ditto's new Dive move to all players regardless of whether they own the pass.

The newly surfaced promo art ties directly into Part 1, giving fans their clearest look yet at what the first wave of content will deliver. Part 2 and Part 3 do not have firm release windows at this point but are expected sometime in late 2026 and early 2027, respectively. The full expansion pass is currently available for pre-order at $34.99 USD.

Two New Pokémon Coming to 'Pokopia' Expansion

The left side of the promo art focuses on the "Bubble Basin" DLC, and it features two water-type Pokémon swimming alongside Ditto. The first is Popplio, the Gen 7 water-type starter, which had already appeared in earlier promotional screenshots for the "Pokémon Pokopia" expansion pass.

Its inclusion was not much of a surprise at this point, but the second Pokémon, however, is Manaphy, and that one is a more notable addition.

As per ComicBook, Manaphy has rarely appeared outside of special events in the past games in the franchise, since Game Freak first added the Mythical in Generation IV. Seeing it potentially available in the wild within "Pokopia" marks a meaningful change from how the franchise has historically treated the mythical water-type.

Its appearance in the artwork could also hint at some kind of egg hatching mechanic tied to the expansion, though nothing official has been confirmed on that front.

New Feature, Accessories From Expansion Pass

The right side of the promo art shifts focus on Part 2 of the expansion pass, and it appears to tease a brand-new accessories system coming to "Pokémon Pokopia."

The artwork shows Peakychu sporting a set of wings and a headband that are not part of the current base game, and newly confirmed Pokémon Snubble is also shown wearing accessories of its own.

The detail strongly suggests that a costume or dress-up feature for Pokémon pals is on the way. ComicBook also noted that since Part 2 is already confirmed not to introduce a new area, this accessories system may end up being the highlight of that particular wave of content.
