'Pokémon GO' Gen 5: Here Are The Pokémon Releasing In Wave 1, Wild, Eggs, Shiny And Regional

There’s nothing quite like a new Pokémon day in Pokémon GO. Community Day is great and Raid Days come with huge rewards, but there’s something about seeing those silhouettes on your nearby tracker that just evokes adventure in a way that nothing else in the game can quite do. Today we start off with the first wave of Gen 5 Pokémon, originally discovered in the Unova region featured in Pokémon Black and White. They’re set to drop at the usual time of 1:00 PM Pacific, but we’ve got some information from Niantic ahead of time confirming all or most of the creatures that we’ll be seeing appear in the game.

There will certainly be more information to be had once these things go live later today, but here’s what we know so far, including what Pokemon will be available in the wild, from eggs, as shinies and as regionals. It’s a big wave with a lot to chew on, so there’s bound to be plenty to do for a while to come.

Confirmed wild spawns and their evolutions:

Snivy, Servine, Serperior
Tepig, Pignite, Emboar
Oshawott, Dewott, Samurott
Patrat, Watchog
Lillipup, Herdier, Stoutland
Purrloin, Liepard
Pidove, Tranquill, Unfezant
Blitzle, Zebstrika

The press release says “more” may be discovered, so it’s possible that there are some not listed here, or that some of the Pokémon available in eggs will also be available in the wild. There’s also an intro video, which you can watch below, which shows an absolute ton of Gen 5 Pokemon. But it seems like this is more of a broad intro, and it might not mean that all these Pokemon are arriving right now. Or maybe they are!
