Pointless: How do you become a contestant on BBC quiz show starring Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman?

The BBC's popular game-show Pointless is looking for contestants - and here's how you can apply to be on the latest series.

Hosted by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman, Pointless sees contestants compete in pairs to try and win the jackpot by scoring as few points as possible by thinking of the most obscure answer that not a single one of the 100 audience members has said.

The show airs on BBC One at 5.15pm Monday to Fridays and you could star in the next series.

Co-host Richard Osman shared the news on Twitter that the show was looking for contestants along with a link to the advert.

The advert reads: "Could you trust your mum, brother, housemate, or your partner to help you win big under pressure? We would love to hear from pairs of fun, lively people who think they can take up the Pointless challenge."

The closing date for applications is Monday, February 1 2021 but the advert reveals that 'auditions are happening sooner so please apply now.'

It has been reported that the highest amount that has ever been won on the show is £24,750 and then the jackpot is reset to £1,000.

You can apply to be on the show here.
