Floral tributes have been left at the scene where a teenager died after falling from the roof of a building in Largs.
The town is in mourning this week after 13-year-old Sarah Short from Fairlie was fatally injured late on Saturday night.
Emergency services raced to the incident in the North Ayrshire seaside town's Aitken Street but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have said there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding what happened and that enquiries are continuing.
Bunches of flowers, balloons and a teddy bear have been carefully laid out with heartbroken friends and residents attending to pay their own respects.
Sarah was a pupil at Largs Academy and the school's head teacher John Doherty confirmed a support service will be put in place for grief-stricken students.
He said: "We are all shocked and saddened at the tragic death of one our pupils.
"My thoughts go out to family, friends and the whole school community who will be affected by this awful news.
"The school and education service will provide as much support and help as we can."
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Around 11.45pm on Saturday, June 19, police were made aware a 13-year-old girl had been injured after falling from the roof of a building in Aitken Street, Largs.

"Emergency services attended and the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
