'Pogba would have scored' - Man United fans say same thing as Rashford misses penalty vs Palace

Manchester United fans would have been expecting three points on Saturday.

A home game with Crystal Palace, following a win over Chelsea and a draw away at Wolves, was a chance for the Red Devils to continue their unbeaten start to the season.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men were stunned in the first half by a Jordan Ayew strike, that put them on the back foot.

However, they were given a golden opportunity to get back in the game in the second period, when they were awarded a penalty after Luka Milivojevic brought down Anthony Martial in the box.

And it came just a week after the spot-kick controversy with Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman took the kick against Wolves last week, but saw his effort saved by Rui Patricio, to much uproar from fans and mainly football pundits.

Solskjaer admitted that the club had two designated penalty takers, in Pogba and Marcus Rashford, and it was down to them on the day who took it.

Another penalty followed against Palace, and this time, after the problems last week, it was Rashford who stepped up.

But the result was the same, The Englishman hit the inside of the post and it came back out, making it two missed kicks from 12 yards in a row.

And the response on Twitter was as expected.
