Pogba out, Greenwood in - Manchester United line up fans want to see vs Brighton

Manchester United fans want to see five changes to the team that was defeated by Crystal Palace last weekend for the Premier League clash against Brighton.

United were well below-par against Palace and lost their opening league game for only the third time in their history.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expects a much better performance against Graham Potter's men and should welcome a number of key players back into the fold having rested the majority of his first-team stars during the midweek Carabao Cup victory against Luton Town.

Our writers had their say on who Solskjaer should include in the starting XI and MEN Sport asked readers to pick their preferred team.

Despite Dean Henderson impressing on his United debut earlier this week, making a stunning save to keep United ahead at Kenilworth Road, fans have opted to keep David de Gea between the sticks.

In defence, Aaron Wan-Bissaka returns in place of Timothy Fosu-Mensah while Eric Bailly is preferred to Victor Lindelof after the Swede's disastrous performance against Palace. Luke Shaw beats Brandon Williams to the starting spot at left-back.

Ahead of the back four, United fans are eager to see Donny van de Beek handed his first league start after he netted off the bench against Roy Hodgson's men. Supporters believe the Dutchman should replace Paul Pogba in the team with Nemanja Matic taking Scott McTominay's place (our graphic has Bruno Fernandes playing as the defensive midfielder which can only be attributed to a technical error).

Mason Greenwood was named on the bench for the Palace defeat but fans are eager to see the England international return, with Daniel James dropping out of the starting XI. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial complete the team.

Manchester United fans XI vs Brighton: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw; Matic, Fernandes, Van de Beek; Greenwood, Rashford, Martial.
