Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Pogba and Shaw - Manchester United injury latest and expected return dates

Anthony Martial

Martial has not played since United's home defeat by Palace on August 24 due to a thigh problem and will not be back until after the international break.

Possible return date: 20 October vs Liverpool

Luke Shaw

Shaw, like Martial, has been out since the loss to Palace and although he returned to training last week, he is not expected to feature at St. James' Park.

Possible return date: 20 October vs Liverpool

Paul Pogba

Pogba picked up an ankle injury against Southampton before the September international break and, despite having returned for the recent games against Rochdale and Arsenal, he now requires further treatment on the problem.

He has been left out of the France squad for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers and will not play at Newcastle, although Solskjaer is hopeful he will be available for United's first game after the international break against Liverpool.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Tonsillitis sidelined Wan-Bissaka against Arsenal and AZ Alkmaar and he is expected to miss the trip to Newcastle, although he should definitely be available against Liverpool,

Jesse Lingard

Lingard tweaked his hamstring in injury time against Alkmaar but Solskjaer did not sound too concerned about the problem when discussing it after the match.

Phil Jones

Jones has not played since the Carabao Cup game against Rochdale due to an unspecified injury. Solskjaer said prior to the Arsenal game that Jones would not be back until after the international break but did not put a time frame on the defender's return.

Eric Bailly

Bailly's return is still some way away after he sustained a serious knee injury against Tottenham in pre-season.
