Pogba, Bailly, Jones - Manchester United's injury list ahead of West Ham FA Cup tie

Manchester United are preparing for the visit of West Ham United to Old Trafford on Tuesday after their disappointing draw against Everton on Saturday.

United will be looking to get back to winning ways against the Hammers in the FA Cup fifth round after conceding a late equaliser to draw 3-3 with Everton.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s 94th-minute goal following a flick-on from a free-kick took the wind out of United’s sails as they missed the chance to put pressure on Premier League leaders Manchester City.

The positives of goals from Edinson Cavani, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay were cancelled out by sloppy defending which allowed Carlo Ancelotti’s side back into it through Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez before Calvert-Lewin’s dramatic last-gasp goal.

West Ham were held to a 0-0 draw by Fulham on Saturday as Tomas Soucek received a controversial late red card.

Here is the latest United injury news ahead of Tuesday’s FA Cup tie.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reacts to David de Gea's mistakes against Everton

Paul Pogba

Pogba has been a key player for United of late, but he was forced off in the 39th minute of the draw with Everton as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced him with Fred.

The French midfielder limped off clutching his thigh and will be assessed by the club today to see the extent of the problem.

What Solskjaer said: "It seemed like a muscle injury. He's fine, we'll check him out tomorrow and we'll see how serious it is. I hope it's not too bad but he didn't carry on so had to take him off."

Expected return date: Unknown

Eric Bailly

Bailly was not a part of United’s squad for the visit of Everton on Saturday and has not played since the win over Fulham last month after he was hurt in a car accident.

The Ivory Coast international damaged his shin after being in a car that skidded on ice and crashed into a tree near the club's training ground.

He was an unused substitute in the 9-0 win over Southampton but missed the recent visits of Liverpool and Sheffield United and the Daily Mail reported ahead of the Everton game that he had picked up another knock in training.

The extent of Bailly’s injury is not known, but Solskjaer’s pre-match comments suggest it is not serious.

What Solskjaer said: “Eric is a doubt, apart from that everyone's raring to go.”

Expected return date: February 9

Phil Jones

Jones , who hasn’t played for United since last January, is recovering from knee surgery. The centre-back was initially scheduled to come back in December, then January, but his return has recently been pushed back once more.

Harry Maguire has been partnered by Victor Lindelof in recent games, with Axel Tuanzebe on the bench as a back-up option.

What Solskjaer said: “Phil has been recovering from an injury, a knee operation he had, and he's working hard to be available again. So, he will be included on the (Premier League) list. Hopefully he’ll get his fitness back sooner, rather than later, and be able to play.”

Expected return date: February
