Pogba and Rashford start — Manchester United fans name line up they want vs Atalanta

Manchester United will be looking to build on Saturday's 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur when they travel to the Gewiss Stadium to face Atalanta on Tuesday evening.

United, who have won their last two matches in the Champions League — including a thrilling 3-2 win over the Italians less than a fortnight ago — sealed a return to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday, comfortably brushing Spurs aside at the Tottenham Hotspur.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will hope his team can take further steps along the road of recovery after the 5-0 hammering at the hands of Liverpool.

Victory in north London eased some of the pressure on Solskjaer, but he will know only too well that his side cannot afford to take their foot off the pedal.

As proven less than two weeks ago, Atalanta are not be taken lightly, meaning United will need to be at their very, very best to take another giant stride towards qualification for the last-16.

United will arrive in Italy with almost a fully fit squad available to them, with only Victor Lindelof confirmed to have missed out because of a knock. But considering he played a key role in United's switch to a back-three at Spurs, it could have had a huge impact on Solskjaer's plans.

But how do United's supporters want to see Solskjaer set his side up against Atalanta? MEN Sport has taken a close look at what United's fans have voted for using our interactive widget.

Goalkeeper - David de Gea

After what must have felt like a never ending wait for the United goalkeeper, De Gea finally secured the clean sheet his recent performances have deserved against Spurs at the weekend —although he did not have to work particularly hard for it against a poor Spurs side.

Unsurprisingly, United's supporters are keen for him to continue in goal against Atalanta, despite Dean Henderson waiting in the wings for a chance to prove his worth.

Defence - Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire

Just as United got one central-defender back from injury, another has been ruled out, with Swede Lindelof having picked up a knock in training on Monday and not been included in the travelling squad.

Lindelof was part of the three-man defence that performed well against Spurs, alongside Varane and Maguire, but will miss out.

Although United's supporters are keen to see Solskjaer stick with a back-three again on Tuesday evening, they do not want Lindelof to be replaced by a ready-made centre-back, such as Eric Bailly. Instead, they want to see Wan-Bissaka move inside and form a three-man defence with Varane and Maguire.

Midfield - Diogo Dalot, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay, Luke Shaw

A change to the back-three means at least one change in midfield. However, United's supporters want to see two alterations made to the midfield five.

With the supporters wanting to see Wan-Bissaka move back into the three-man defence, they want to see Dalot come in and take up residency on the right, with Shaw continuing on the opposite flank.

In the middle, the supporters want to see Pogba come in — with his suspension not affecting his European involvement — for Fred, joining Fernandes and McTominay in the centre of the park.

Attack - Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford

Having been United's hero in their last two Champions League outings, it's not a shock to see fans calling for Ronaldo to start again.

However, there is an element of surprise in the fact the supporters want to see Rashford alongside him, rather than Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan started against Spurs on Saturday, scored and produced an excellent performance, meaning a lot of people would expect him to start once again. However, the fans want to see Rashford return.

The starting line-up United's fans want to see vs Atalanta : De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire; Dalot, Pogba, Fernandes, McTominay, Shaw; Ronaldo, Rashford.
