Pogba and Fernandes start - the Manchester United line-up fans want to see vs Brighton

Attentions turn to Premier League action again for Manchester United as they take on Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium tonight (Tuesday).

The FA Cup quarter-final against Norwich City ultimately proved to be successful for United thanks to Harry Maguire’s late goal in extra time.

The Reds will now look to take that success and continue with their recent impressive league form as they look to close the gap on Chelsea in fourth place in the table.

Though Brighton themselves have had an impressive start, picking up four points from games against Arsenal and Leicester.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made a number of changes for the FA Cup clash against Norwich but was forced to call on resources such as Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, and Marcus Rashford throughout the game as it went to extra-time.

The 120 minutes gives the United manager some difficult decisions to make, and MEN Sport has given fans the chance to have their say on the starting XI .

Sergio Romero played the game at Carrow Road, but David De Gea has been the first choice goalkeeper all season, with fans picking the Spaniard in goal.

Captain Harry Maguire was the hero when he scored the winning goal late in extra time against Norwich. Despite playing the full 120 minutes, the England man has been picked in central defence alongside Victor Lindelof. Luke Shaw also played the full 120 minutes but has been selected to start by fans, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka replacing Diogo Dalot in the right-back position.

Bruno Fernandes was another player who played the full 120 minutes and could be considered for a rest by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer given his importance to the team over the end-of-season run-in. However, fans would like to see the Portugal international start again in Brighton alongside Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, both of whom were second-half substitutes at Carrow Road.

Anthony Martial was the hero with a hat-trick in United’s last Premier League outing and impressed in his cameo against Norwich, so it’s perhaps no surprise that the Frenchman regains his place from Odion Ighalo, with Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford both bought back in to support the striker from wider areas.

Manchester United fans’ XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw; Matic, Pogba, Fernandes; Greenwood, Martial, Rashford.
