JIND: A special and fast track court (POCSO) of additional district and session judge (ADSJ) has awarded 20-year rigorous imprisonment to a person in connection with a case of 377 IPC (unnatural sex) with a minor boy in Haryana's Jind district on Saturday.
The ADSJ Dr Chander Hass has imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on the accused and accused will have to serve two year extra simple jail in case of default.
Reportedly, mother of the victim boy (16) lodged a police compliant in Safidon police station of Jind district on April 7, 2022 alleging that "family members were out on this day and my son was alone at home. Meanwhile, Sandeep, who is native of same village reached my house and sexually assaulted him. However, I reached at home following which the accused fled from the spot. He threatened to kill us and sexually assaulted my son," she had alleged.
Getting her complaint, police had lodged a case under section protection of children from sexual offences (POCSO) (4) against the accused, 377 (unnatural sex) 450( with ...Whoever commits house-trespass in order to the committing of any offence punishable with imprisonment for life) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
The accused was chargesheeted on July 27, 2022 by this court.
The case was under trial and the ADSJ Dr Chander Hass sentenced him a rigorous jail of 20 year within a period of one and half year. The local police produced sufficient evidence including medical reports against the accused in this case before the fast track court.
