Pocket-sized dog found in Sydney's west, NSW Police say

Gizmo the pocket Pomeranian taken from a cafe in Sydney's inner-west yesterday has been found alive and well at a vet clinic following a police search.

The pocket Pomeranian escaped from a home in Wareemba, before walking to a nearby cafe on the corner of Great North Road and Coranto Street.

Two men were seen carrying the dog from the cafe about 3:00pm.

But following inquiries by police attached to the Burwood Local Area Command, the dog was located at a veterinary clinic in Bankstown late this afternoon.

He has been reunited with his owners.

Police have thanked the public for their assistance.
