Napoli have parted company with Carlo Ancelotti and the decision has got Arsenal supporters talking.
The decision from the Serie A side comes just hours after the Italian guided them into the Champions League last-16 with a 4-0 win over Genk on matchday six - although they finished runners-up to Liverpool despite taking four points of them.
In addition, poor form in the league is also a reason for his departure.
Not only are Napoli trailing Inter Milan and Juventus in the title race but are also outside the European qualification places by a massive seven points.
With that said, the split appears to have been a mutual decision.
"Napoli has decided to revoke the role of technical manager of the first team from Mr. Carlo Ancelotti," read a statement posted to the club's official Twitter account.
"The friendship, esteem and mutual respect between the company, its president Aurelio De Laurentiis and Carlo Ancelotti remains intact."
Of course with Ancelotti now a free agent, a return to the Premier League could be on the cards.
The Gunners are in the market for a replacement for Unai Emery and the Daily Mail are reporting that they plan to speak with the ex-Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain boss about the vacancy.
This development has prompted a big reaction from Arsenal fans on social media.
