Pochettino delivers new injury updates on Jan Vertonghen, Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has given updates on whether a trio of key players will return for the Champions League semi-final first leg clash against Ajax.

Spurs lost 1-0 at home to West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday and ended the game looking tired and running low on ideas.

Jan Vertonghen missed the game through fatigue while Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks both continue with their recovery from groin injuries.

Pochettino was asked whether the trio could be fit to face Ajax at home in Tuesday's first leg tie.

"Vertonghen for sure, Sissoko, I don't know we will have to assess tomorrow. I think Harry Winks no," he said.

Harry Kane, who is in rehabilitation after his ankle injury, was sitting on the bench at the new stadium on Saturday and Pochettino was asked for the latest on the England captain.

"We'll see. Yesterday we were talking. We will see what happens. If you said to me he is going to be available for the second leg in Ajax or the last game against Everton, I don't know. For sure it is going to be difficult," explained the Spurs boss.

"If we are capable to beat Ajax and be in the final in June 1 then maybe yes. Yesterday we were talking about that, we'll see."
