Mauricio Pochettino has delivered fresh updates on the fitness of Tottenham Hotspur's summer signings Tanguy Ndombele, Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celso.
The club revealed on Friday that Ndombele will miss Sunday's north London derby with Arsenal with a thigh problem he picked up in training last week.
The 22-year-old midfielder was left out of France's latest squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers and has commenced on-field rehabilitation at Spurs' Hotspur Way training complex.
Sessegnon is in the final stages of conditioning before returning to training with the first team squad after his hamstring injury suffered at the European U21 Championships in the summer.
Lo Celso has now made two substitute appearances for Spurs in the Premier League and Pochettino was asked whether he's fit enough to start a match yet.
"Lo Celso arrived at the last moment after a very difficult period when he was involved in Copa America and was on holiday for a long period. When he arrived here he was not in a great condition," admitted the Tottenham boss.
"He’s working hard to try to get to the level of the rest of the team. I don’t believe he has the chance to be involved from the beginning but we are happy with him. For sure he needs time, like Ryan Sessegnon who is still not working with the team.
"Tanguy suffered a small injury and I think will be available after the international break. I am happy with them. All these players who arrive at the last moment, need time to work and know their teammates. It’s not easy the adaptation with different players.
"You need experience here. Sometimes you need six months, one year, it’s not to put pressure on the new signings. They’re still young and they need to find their place in the team and the changing room and in London. Everything is new for them."
Other players on the injured list include Eric Dier, who is being assessed after complaining of irritation in his right hip. Juan Foyth is progressing well and continuing on-field rehabilitation after his ankle injury.
Kyle Walker-Peters suffered a hamstring strain in the defeat against Newcastle United. He is undergoing on-field rehabilitation and will be unavailable for selection for the weekend.
