A disastrous run of form which culminated in a 5-1 Clasico defeat at Barcelona saw Julen Lopetegui sacked after just four months as Real coach, with the Champions League holders displaying their ruthless edge once again.
While Real's domestic form cost Lopetegui his job, the Spanish giants are more settled in Europe as they sit top of Group G on goal difference ahead of Wednesday's trip to Plzen.
