Plymouth shooter was 'ticking time bomb' who was on wanted list a year earlier

Plymouth shooter Jake Davison was a “ticking time bomb” who brutally attacked a teenager and spat at a girl saying “I f***ing hate women” leading to a police investigation, it is reported.

The Plymouth shooter, who spent hours each day in the gym, battered a 16-year-old at a skate park last September.

He went up to the teen and teen and started punching him for no reason said Caroline Reilly, 38, a friend of the boy’s mum.

She told The Sun: ““They were in the park, skateboarding. He just walked up to them and started punching one, kicking him in the head.

“A girl tried to intervene to say, ‘What the hell are you doing?’ and he spat in her face and said, ‘You can go to hell’.”

He punched the 16-year-old repeatedly and then attacked and spat at the girl (PA)

She said how the attack had been completely unprovoked and that if the girl hadn’t intervened then he would have carried on hitting the boy.

Ms Reilly added: “He hit her and spat at her and said ‘I f***ing hate women’.”

The boy is believed to have needed hospital treatment having been knocked out and suffered a broken nose.

Police did launch an investigation and appealed for witnesses but it is not believed that charges were ever brought against Davison.

Due to his mental health problems, Davison’s gun licence was suspended last December, but it was returned in July.

Davison was described as physically strong, 6ft and 19 stone, and had issues with his temper.

Davison had been spending a lot of time in the gym and which was the only place he felt comfortable, pals reportedly said (PA)

He had got involved in other fights, while reportedly he threatened to beat up his dad Mark and punched a hole in the wall at the home of his mum, Maxine during an argument.

Friends have also said that he became obsessed with the gym, going to Plymouth’s Continental Hotel, and that it was at the gym where he “felt happiest because it was the only place he fitted in and felt successful.”

A the same time they said that he had been taking steroids since last December and this on top of his mental health problems meant that he was a “ticking time bomb”.
