Plymouth independent estate agency Alan Cummings & Co has been acquired by the city’s Julian Marks Estate Agents
The buyout establishes a central city base for the top performing sales agents in Plymstock and Plympton. With more than 16 staff and two offices, Julian Marks will retain the nine-strong team at Alan Cummings & Co as part of the deal.
Established in 1994, Alan Cummings & Co has traded for 27 years from its prominent position at Henders Corner, in Mannamead, and is the top selling agent in Hartley and Mannamead (PL3) in 2021.

Julian Marks Estate Agents is already active across the city, with the Plymstock office selling more properties priced more than £200,000 than any other estate agency office throughout Plymouth.
The site at Henders Corner has been an important commercial location since about 1850, when horse trams used the junction as a terminus. An estate agency has been part of the small row of shops since the 1960s.
In 2021, Julian Marks Estate Agents celebrated a decade in business, and being the top performing agent in Plymstock and the surrounding PL9 area for nine consecutive years, according to data collected by Rightmove and Zoopla. The firm’s Plympton office, only two years-old, has already become the top selling office in PL7.
