A gunman who called himself an 'ugly virgin' in Youtube videos killed a woman known to him before gunning down four more victims.
Jake Davison killed five people including a 3-year-old girl in a six-minute shooting spree in Plymouth before turning the weapon on himself.
The 22-year-old's first victim was a woman at a property in Biddick Drive in the Keyham area of the city.
At a press conference this morning Chief Constable Shaun Sawyer said the aspiring body-builder knew the 51-year-old woman and was thought to be related to her.
However, the police chief would not be drawn on their exact relationship.

Wielding what witnesses described as a pump action shotgun, Davison went on to kill four more people.
They were a three-year-old girl and her 43-year-old male relation, a 59-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman.
A 53-year-old woman and 33-year-old man were also injured, although not seriously.
This morning details of his online life emerged.
On July 28 he uploaded a dark 11-minute clip to his 'Professor Waffle' YouTube channel - which has since been deleted - in which he talked about how he had lost his drive.
The apprentice crane operator also called himself "the Terminator".
"I'm so beaten and defeated by f****** life," he said in the video.
"That drive that I once had had, that's gone now. It's literally gone - I don't have the power anymore."

He continued: "Most people would have been completely and utterly broken if they had lived my f****** life, and I know that for a fact.
"I'm not trying to say pity party, or I'm the biggest victim in the world. But I know for a fact that if people had lived my f****** life, they wouldn't have lasted."
Davison - whose videos had only collected a few hundred views each at the time of writing - also talked about being an 'incel' and referenced 'blackpill'.
Both are linked misogynist philosophies attributed to radical fringe groups, usually made up of young men, based around looks and the reasons why they can't attract women.
Today police confirmed that he is believed to be responsible for yesterday's deaths.
Six minutes after the shootings began armed and unarmed officers arrived at the scene having received multiple calls from the public.
Davison had shot himself before they were able to engage with him.

The chief constable said a firearm - described by witnesses as a pump action shotgun - was recovered from the scene.
Mr Sawyer said the victims' identities will be made public at a later time.
He said two people in hospital "received significant injuries", but were the only victims to receive non-fatal injuries.
The force is looking at Davison's social media output as part of the investigation.
Mr Sawyer said: "This is an extraordinarily unusual response by a fellow human being.
"Whether there were mental health issues I cannot say at this time."
He said most witnesses were "shocked at what was unfolding before them", but said there was no evidence to suggest Davison was saying anything as he carried out his atrocity.

The chief constable also praised the response of the emergency services and locals, adding: "The community of Plymouth is strong."
He also urged people not to contact the police unless it is "truly an emergency", adding: "We are now very, very busy."
Mr Sawyer confirmed Davison was a firearms licence holder and said "no motive" has been identified at present.
He added: "We are not considering terrorism or a relationship with any far-right group."
