Public art commissions can be expensive and indulgent affairs, but sometimes they're fascinating and 'challenging' - in a good way. Social Hacking, a series of temporary exhibits, artist workshops and performances taking place in Plymouth between 21-24 of March, would certainly seem to fall into the latter category. Okay, okay, you want to know about the car. Well, it's a Plymouth Superbird and it's being used by the Ludic Society to create a 'total conversion' of Gran Turismo in the streets of the city. I'm not sure what this entails and have left a message with the organiser, Kurator. I'll update when they get back to me. Sounds fascinating, though - and reminds me of recent attempts to create real-world versions of Pac-Man in New York and Singapore.
