Plusnet is DOWN: Mobile network crashes leaving users unable to make or receive calls

Plusnet Mobile appears to have crashed this morning, leaving users unable to make or receive calls.

According to Down Detector the issues started at around 11:22 GMT, and are affecting users across the UK.

While Plusnet is yet to comment on the outage, it appear to be unrelated to O2’s issues, which saw the mobile network crash earlier today.

Several people have reported problems to Down Detector, with 66% reporting issues with internet, 16% with phones, and 16% experiencing a total blackout.

Many have also taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations.

One person tweeted: “Plusnet mobile phone down again. I’ve never had this issue with any other network provider in 20years...I think it’s time for a change.”

Another added: “When your service is down and I cannot use my mobile as a result @Plusnet - how do you expect me to contact you? By chat?  (oh, wait,  that's not available either) . By email (oh, wait, cant find an address for love nor money). What a load of …”

A spokesperson for Plusnet told Mirror Online: "“We are aware that some Plusnet Mobile customers may be experiencing problems making or receiving calls. We’re working hard with our network suppliers to restore this as quickly as possible.”
