A plush West Lothian holiday venue next to reservoir is set to get more glamping pods.
West Lothian Council granted permission to The Vu at Ballencrieff Reservoir on Wednesday December 8 for the new pods.
The Vu opened in 2008 in the Bathgate Hillls, and normally operates as a wedding venue, but the stunning location now also offers luxury holiday accommodation on site too.
The council approved ten pods earlier this year and have applied for another nine, meaning there could now be 19 glamping pods on site, as well as their two 5 star log cabins for newly weds.
The Vu have branded their pods as ‘Snugs’ and say the offer the “perfect accommodation” for anyone looking for a quiet break.
They say: “The Snug is the perfect accommodation for guests who have business in the Scottish central belt and are looking for a quiet retreat.

“The Snugs are ideally located for access to both Glasgow and Edinburgh, you will require vehicle transport though.
"The Snugs have their own en-suite facilities with a generous king size bed and one single fold down bed (suitable for a child).
“They are also equipped with their own fridge, microwave, kettle and a hairdryer. All the Snugs benefit from central heating and of course a breath taking view across the Scottish central belt.”
They say on the planning application that they expect to hire more staff with the new glamping operation.
The Vu also applied to the council for two new access tracks on site, with the number of visitors expected to increase sharply over the coming year.
West Lothian Council are expected to make a decision on the latest application in the coming days and weeks.
