Plumber turned Olympian is trending thanks to his nail paint

Tokyo Olympics 2020 have showcased the best in sporting talent and the best in fashion. From nail biting matches to quirky style statements, the delayed Olympic games have totally been worth the wait. While many sportspersons have hit headlines due to their eccentric styles at this year's games, an Olympian is making news for flaunting Olympic inspired nail paint.

We are talking about lightweight boxer from Australia Harry Garside. The boxer has made his country proud by making history by becoming the only Australian to enter light boxing semi-finals. And Garside is now creating a lot of buzz for his unusual nail paint. Boxing is considered to be a very macho sports and it is moving to see a boxer accept his feminine side by flaunting nail paint.

The 24-year reigning Commonwealth Games champion is also known for his love for ballet, in fact he adding it to his official training regimen. Right after his quarter final victory, Garside was spotted pulling off his gloves and flaunting his rainbow nails inspired by Olympics.

"I just want to break stereotypes, to be honest," he is reported to have said.

"There's a lot of people out there who feel like they have to be something because they're a male or a female. I'm all about just being different," he said.

Garside, who is also a qualified plumber even admitted that for a moment he considered wearing a dress to the Olympic Games opening ceremony.
