A plumber has had the last laugh on his old boss after being fired for having long hair and refusing to cut it.
The anonymous man had been working at a plumbing company for two weeks and says he was doing so well he would soon be getting a pay rise and his own truck.
In fact, he says the company's owner himself said that he knew "more than 90 per cent" of his crew.
Writing on the 'Anti work' subreddit, user NaturalViber explained: "It has been cold and I have kept it in a hat because it gets in my face while working.
"This morning was the first time he has seen me with long hair. He kind of flipped his sh*t and told me to cut it by tomorrow.

"Of course, I told him that I will not be cutting my hair for this position (service plumber) and even bargained that I move to a different position (new installation) if my hair was a problem.
"He got snappy with me and told me to cut my hair by tomorrow or there is my car... while pointing at my car."
However, instead of bowing down to his boss, the plumber claims he took his tools and left - driving "right down the road" where he was immediately hired by another company.
"This is a worker's market," the post adds. "Do not let these companies control your every waking moment. Everywhere is hiring."
The post garnered thousands of comments, with many slamming the boss for his "outdated" views.
"It's not the 1960's any longer. Who cares?" One user wrote.
"The people in upper management have grown up on 50s and 60s work culture being spoon-fed to them. I’ve literally been told if I look comfortable while working it means I’m not working hard enough," another person added.
