
A HUNTER plumber will face court on Tuesday after allegedly stabbing another worker at a Lake Macquarie work site.
Police have charged the 39-year-old after the alleged incident, which occurred about 1.30pm on Monday at Faucett Street in Blackalls Park.
"The plumber had issues with work that had been completed by a 33-year-old colleague," NSW Police said in a statement.
The pair had a a heated phone conversation before the younger man returned to the site to meet the plumber.
Police allege that a verbal argument became physical, with the older man stabbing the 33-year-old in the arm with a knife.
The 33-year-old suffered what police described a "a significant wond".
He was treated at the scene before being taken to John Hunter Hospital.
Lake Macquarie police attended the Blackalls Park site, stopping the 39-year-old man's vehicle at Boolaroo.
He was arrested and taken to Toronto police station.
