Marcelo Bielsa’s side now just sit five points above the bottom three and the pressure is now on following impressive wins for both Watford and Burnley at the weekend.
The Hornets defeated Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park, while Burnley battered Brighton and Hove Albion 3-0 down on the South Coast.
Following Sunday’s tough defeat against Manchester United, it does not get any easier for Leeds, as they travel to Liverpool on Wednesday night, before hosting Tottenham Hotspur in Saturday’s early kick off.
With injuries still playing a major part in Leeds’ disappointing campaign so far, the threat of relegation now seems like a real possibility.
