Plenty of talented players still available for Vikings on Friday

The Vikings came out the first round with two big positions of needs with wide receiver Justin Jefferson and cornerback Jeff Gladney.

And by trading back in the first round, the Vikings added two more picks to their bank and still have 12 picks with six rounds remaining.

On Friday, the Vikings have three picks: 58, 89 and 105.

Vikings GM Rick Spielman will likely be pretty active in trying to trade up into the the second round, and with the talent available, it certainly makes sense.

While Minnesota helped shore up two positions, offensive line is still a big concern.

Houston tackle Josh Jones is a name to watch, or the Vikings could wait for someone like Boise State’s Ezra Cleveland or Lloyd Cushenberry III.

The Vikings could double down on cornerback and try to trade up for players like LSU’s Kristian Fulton, Alabama’s Trevon Diggs or Utah’s Jaylon Johnson.

With Everson Griffen likely out (he has yet to sign with a team in free agency), defensive end is still a need. Players like Iowa’s A.J. Epenesa and Penn State’s Yetur Gross-Matos fell to the second round and could be players the Vikings target.

There are plenty of talented players still left, and the Vikings find themselves in a pretty good position to land a few of them.
