Dante Chinni, a senior associate at the Pew Project for Excellence in Journalism in Washington, has launched a column in the Christian Science Monitor on media issues. In his debut article he says that "one thing becomes clear" about "our information saturation: It is vital to understand how the media works - why organisations, producers, editors, reporters, and bloggers, make the choices that they do."
