'Please get in touch' - police plea to missing 15-year-old girl from Weston-super-Mare

*****Police have confirmed that Sophie has been found safe and well**********

Police are appealing for help to trace a teenage girl who has been missing from her home in Weston-super-Mare.

Sophie Yendee, 15, is about 160cm (5ft 3ins) tall and slim with brown hair and has been missing since Friday (November 13).

When she left home she was wearing a black bomber jacket and black trousers.

Avon and Somerset Police say she does not have her phone or access to money and is understood to be staying with various friends.

DI Andrew Branch said: “We just need to make sure Sophie is safe and well. We know that she doesn’t want to return home and that her friends think they are helping her - but it’s really important we find her so we can sort this out.

“I’d ask anyone who knows where Sophie is to let us know - and Sophie, please get in touch, we’re worried about you and we can help.”

If you know where Sophie is now, police say to ring 999 quoting reference 5220256913. If you have any other information which could help to trace her ring 101 giving the same reference.

You can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their Anonymous Online Form.
