'Please come home' - mum's emotional appeal to missing 14-year-old boy Reece

A desperate mum has sent an emotional message to her teenage boy who has gone missing.

14-year-old Reece Khan was last seen in the Bridgeton area in the east end of Glasgow at Monday lunchtime and police have been alerted to his disappearance.

Speaking to Glasgow Live mum Annmarie Newton reached out to her boy and said: "Please Reece, come home baby, you're not in trouble. I just want you home and safe."

Reece is known to spend time on Duke Street at Alexander Parade and at the Forge retail park in Parkhead.

Annmarie shared a post on Facebook yesterday with a photo and a description of Reece, commenting: "My son Reece Khan has went missing again. He was last seen in Bridgeton.

"He’s mixed race, 5ft 3inch, brown eyes, brown skin and he’s wearing green blue Nike tracksuit, black and grey Mackenzie wind blower jacket and black Nike Air Max trainers.

"He’s been missing since 12:45 yesterday and police are out looking for him if everyone could share please.

"He hangs about Duke Street at Alexander Parade and at the Parkhead Forge retail Park."

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "We received a report of a 14-year-old boy missing from the Bernard Terrace area of Glasgow who was last seen around 12.45pm on Monday, 22 June, 2020.

"Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information relating to this should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 3756 of 22 June."
