'Please come home Jordan' appeal launched to find missing Kilmarnock dad

An appeal has been launched to find a missing Kilmarnock dad.

Jordan Buckland has not been seen since yesterday and his family and friends are urging anyone with information to come forward with police "increasingly concerned" by his disappearance.

He was last seen in the Shortlees Crescent area of the town. He is believed to have travelled to the Marchdyke Crescent area five minutes later and then left from here at around 5.45pm.

The 20-year-old is described as around 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, with fair hair which is often brushed forward and blue eyes.

He has a full sleeve tattoo on his right arm and is thought to be wearing a purple Nike hoodie, dark blue/purple tartan pyjama bottoms, and black North Face sliders on his feet.

A family member posted on Facebook: "Missing person Jordan Buckland. He has been missing since around 5pm on Sunday.

"He was driving a Ford Mondeo SA09 SFX, please check cameras.

"Please come home Jordan. Was last wearing a purple Nike hoodie. Contact police if seen!"

Another posted: "If anyone has seen Jordan Buckland contact his family or the police.

"He has been missing since yesterday, everyone is worried sick about him. Come home Jordan your son, family and friends need you and love you."

Sergeant Lorraine Fraser, of Kilmarnock police station, said: “This behaviour is out of character for Jordan and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“He is known to frequent the Riccarton area of Kilmarnock and we are especially eager to hear from anyone who saw the Ford Mondeo vehicle from around 5.45pm on Sunday evening.

“Anyone who has seen Jordan, or can help us locate him, should contact us as soon as possible.”

Those with information or sightings should contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 3222 of 20 June 2021.
