'Please come home' Desperate daughter issues plea for missing Scots dad to come home after disappearing four days ago

The family of a Scots dad who has been missing for four days said his disappearance is totally out of character.

George Thomson was last seen leaving his home in the Douglas area of Dundee on Thursday afternoon.

The 64-year-old's loved ones say they are worried sick and have issued a desperate appeal for his safe return.

Dad-of-seven George's family say he had been in good spirits before going missing, leaving them confused as to why he left.

His daughter Janet Stewart, 35, said: "We are worried sick and have no idea where or why he has gone.

"He seemed fine and didn't mention to any of us he was leaving.

"Dad if you are reading this our mum is really upset. Please come home.

"We all love and miss you so much."

When George was last seen he was wearing light blue jeans, a blue t-shirt and a grey coat.

Since his disappearance four days ago there has been no reported sightings of George.

His family believe he may have travelled to Edinburgh.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "George Thomson was reported missing by his family on September. Enquiries are ongoing."
