Plea for people to call police if they spot missing Liverpool man

UPDATE: On Wednesday, January 6 Merseyside Police confirmed Anthony "has been found safe and well and returned home."

Police today turned to the public and urged them to call them straight away if they spot a missing Liverpool man.

Today Merseyside Police also released a photograph of 43 year-old Anthony Hall wearing a Santa hat and festive reindeer jumper as part of their bid to trace him after he vanished.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said he went missing on Monday night.

He added: "Anthony Hall was last seen in Long Lane, Aintree, at 10pm last night, Monday 4th January.

"He is described as a white male, 6ft 2in tall, with short red hair and stubble."

Police confirmed that when last seen Anthony was wearing black North Face tracksuit bottoms, a grey top, a black Adidas bubble coat and blue Nike trainers.

Anthony is known to visit Liverpool city centre, Fazakerley, Norris Green, Southport and St Helens.
