Plea for help over Scottish Motor Show Jaguar E-Type

THE owner of a Jaguar E-Type hopes Road Record readers can help solve a problem.

The premium British marque's 1961 E-Type coupe appeared at that year’s Scottish Motor Show at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow. It was displayed on the Rossleigh stand and was the only Pearl Grey fixed-head coupe at the event.

It was bought from the show by Ron Linley, who then passed it on to Bruce Spollen, in Birmingham, where it was sold to its first registered owner.

The car has now been fully restored to exactly how it was when it appeared at Kelvin Hall and even has the original sticker on the heater that was put there while it was on display.

The car’s current owner would dearly like a photograph of the car at the 1961 Scottish Motor Show. If you have any images showing the car, contact g.blair@roadrecord.co.uk and we would be delighted to put you in touch with the owner.
