Playstival 2019: How to get there, are there tickets still available, and what activities will be happening at the kids' festival?

Playstival is back for another year of family friendly fun as Dundrum’s Airfield Estate is set to transform into a children’s wonderland.

The festival will have everything from games, workshops, mouthwatering world food, science shows, and even lego model building making it a guaranteed fun day out for the family.

So if you’re thinking of heading down there for a weekend of entertainment and relaxation, here’s all you need to know about Playstival 2019.

When and where is Playstival 2019 happening?

Playstival 2019 will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday at Dundrum’s Airfield Estate from 9 am to 6pm.

Where can I find tickets?

Tickets are available from €13 and can be found here.

Children under two years go free.

What can I expect at the festival?

Playstival 2019 will offer a variety of exciting events including family sports day, science shows, lego model building, children’s creative writing and dance lessons, imaginative play universes, world street food village, vintage funfair, and face-painting amongst many others.

How do I get there?

Dublin Bus

Dublin Bus routes 11, 14, 14C, 44, 44B, 75, 116 & 175  will bring you to Dundrum village and drop you within a few minutes walk of Airfield Estate.

Luas

The Luas green line with Balally Luas stop only a 3 minute walk to site

Coach

Dublin Coach will run services every half hour from: Red Cow Luas Stop to Dundrum Luas.

Two children go free with every paying adult.

Car

Take the M50 to Junction 13, follow the R826 for 2 kilometres to Overend Way and Airfield Estate is just there on your right.

Is there parking available at the festival?

There are a limited number of free parking spaces available and is based on a first come first served basis.

There will also be free overflow car parking at St Olaf’s National School, which is a 17 minute walk from Airfield Estate.

There are additional parking spaces unrelated to the festival available in the area.

Blue badge parking is available too.

Is the festival accessibility friendly?

Airfield Estate is wheelchair accessible but wheelchair users have been advised to note that many of the activities will be taking place in grass fields.

Ireland’s National Autism Charity, AsIAm, will be providing a dedicated sensory friendly chill out zone in Airfield House.

Assistance dogs are also welcome onsite.
