PlayStation releases statement about PS5 availability in Ireland before Christmas

More PlayStations will be in stock in Ireland before the end of the year, the gaming giant has confirmed.

In a statement released today on their Irish social media accounts, developers confirmed major retailers will receive more units of the console in the coming weeks.

This comes as a massive boost to the thousands still looking to get one after "unprecedented demand".

A PlayStation spokesperson said: "We want to thank gamers everywhere for making the PS5 launch our biggest console launch ever.

"Demand for PS5 is unprecedented, so we wanted to confirm that more PS5 inventory will be coming to retailers before the end of the year - please stay in touch with your local retailers.

The PlayStation 5 is priced at €499.99, and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition at €399.99.
