PlayStation Plus November Game Catalogue titles announced

Sony has announced the games coming to the PlayStation Plus's Game Catalogue in November, and they include the new PS5 title Teardown and the often overlooked RPG Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen

Thirteen games are coming to the PlayStation Game Catalogue on November 21, while Teardown was added on November 15.

Here’s the full list for this month:

  • Teardown: Minecraft-inspired visuals and destruction-heavy gameplay. Released on PC in 2022, but brand new for PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles. PS4 owners miss out on this one.
  • Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen: A fantasy-themed action-RPG heavy on combat and exploration. A quality title that was missed by many at release in 2013, not helped by coming out not too long after Skyrim.
  • Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition: Zombie carnage in a tropical location, a follow-up to the original Dead Island. Best played in co-op with friends.
  • Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme vs. Maxi Boost On: Chaotic robot vs robot fighting title released in 2020.
  • Superliminal: A 3D first-person game in which you exploit perspective to solve puzzles.
  • Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising: A Japanese RPG-action-platofrmer in which you help the residents of a town rebuild following an earthquake. Go on quests to retrieve the stuff they need. A companion to a giant RPG coming in 2024.
  • Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi: A strategy battling game that sees you command armies of samurai. Perhaps give it a shot before looking too long at the bland screenshots.
  • Alternate Jake Hunter: Daedalus The Awakening of Golden Jazz: Visual novel. A detective story in which you investigate scenes as well as talking to characters. Relatively short by visual novel standards at 10-14 hours.
  • River City Melee Mach!!!: Low-pixel retro characters fight in a higher fidelity rendered arena. Silly and action-heavy brawling with a downright huge array of characters, 180 of ‘em.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen (Capcom)

The following titles are part of the PlayStation Plus Classics collection, which is only available to subscribers of the top Premium tier of Plus.

  • Grandia: A PS1 RPG similar in the style of the old Final Fantasy games. Highly regarded, and worth a revisit if this sort of title is up your street.
  • Jet Moto: 3D racer in which you pilot a hovering jet-ski-slash-motorbike. It spawned two sequels and has largely been forgotten but is fun for a quick blast.
  • Up: A PSP take on the brilliant Pixar film. It’s an unremarkable adventure, not a patch on the movie, but may appeal to younger players or those who played it back in 2009.
  • Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series: This is a remaster of two old platformers, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile for PS1 and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil for PS2. These are classics, and the fresh coat of paint makes them easier to digest for new players.
  • PaRappa the Rapper 2: Characterful rhythm game originally released for PS2 back in 2002 in Europe. A short, charming game worth a revisit.

Game Catalogue titles are available to subscribers to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus. If you have an Essential subscription, you only get access to PlayStation Plus’s standard monthly games.

These were announced earlier in November, and include Mafia II: Definitive Edition, Aliens Fireteam Elite, and Dragonball: The Breakers.
