PlayStation 5 will 'eliminate unnecessary loading time', developer claims

With a launch date of ‘Holiday 2020’, the PlayStation 5 is still well over a year away, but that’s not to say that rumours haven't been flying about the console.

Now, the producer behind the popular game Fairy Tail RPG, has revealed his predictions for Sony ’s next gaming console.

Speaking to GamingBolt , Keisuke Kikuchi revealed that he believes the PS5 will ‘eliminate unnecessary loading times.’

He said: “I think that for customers, the unnecessary loading time will be eliminated, and the range of depictions will be increased, such as cinematics that go back and forth between multiple scenes, but I think that it is necessary to give players some time/breaks during gameplay, so I think that it will become necessary to devise ways in game design to intentionally prepare these moments of time/breaks."

Mr Kikuchi added that he believes the PS5 will allow developers to create more life-like games.

He said: “I am glad that it will greatly broaden the range of depictions and operations, so I look forward to being able to have more natural depictions, and especially those that feel realistic as if you are there.

“But, the higher level of depictions will also consume clock speed, so I am also preparing myself that things may not go according to expectations.”

Unfortunately, Mr Kikuchi remained tight-lipped about what his company might be working on for the PS5.

There's also still a bit of a wait before the console is finally unveiled - Sony recently revealed a launch date of 'Holiday 2020'!
