PlayStation 5: Sony has good news if you're still trying to get the PS5

This month, gaming fans were treated to not just one, but two new consoles.

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are now available in the UK - that is, if you can get your hands on them.

Both consoles sold out in record time, leaving many fans disappointed.

Now, Sony has issued some good news for people still trying to get hole of the PS5 - more consoles will be available before the end of the year.

PlayStation tweeted: “We want to thank gamers everywhere for making the PS5 launch our biggest console launch ever.

“Demand for PS5 is unprecedented, so we wanted to confirm that more PS5 inventory will be coming to retailers before the end of the year - please stay in touch with your local retailers.”

The new advice comes shortly after Jim Ryan, CEO at Sony Interactive Entertainment, confirmed that ‘absolutely everything is sold.’

Speaking to TASS News Agency, Mr Ryan said: “Everything is sold. Absolutely everything is sold.

“I’ve spent much of the last year trying to be sure that we can generate enough demand for the product. And now in terms of my executive bandwidth I’m spending a lot more time on trying to increase supply to meet that demand.”

For those still scrambling to find any last available stock, here is a full breakdown of what we know so far.
