By Gemma Sherlock

A number of big retailers are set to get a major restock of PlayStation 5's this month.

The likes of Argos have now gone live with their PlayStation 5 sale - check it out here.

Argos's last restock of the PlayStation 5 came on August 10.

The retailer 'quietly' dropped their sale online in the early hours of the morning.

Both the Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Console - priced at £359.99 and the Disc Version - priced at £449.99 were available to buy on the Argos website.

Customers needed to enter their postcode to check the stock in their local area, and were also able to purchase the PS5 using Argos's credit plans.

While GAME will go live with their PlayStation restock drop at 9am on Tuesday (September 14).

GAME has been a popular choice for buyers of the PS5.

They are one of a select few who began to sell the consoles in stores from June - and last went live on their website with a PS5 sale on August 19.

Those wanting to buy via GAME now have to sign up to their pre-order waiting list system here.

You can ask to be put on the list at your local store and you’ll get a call if you’ve been allocated a PS5.

Meanwhile, BT broadband customers were able to benefit from a huge PlayStation 5 drop on Monday morning (September 13).

Shoppers who had signed up to BT's email alerts were sent out unique codes for the PS5.

Codes did not guarantee a PS5 but were used to access the sale on the website on Monday.

BT had a standalone console available for £449 here and PS5 and extra controller bundle for £508.99 here, plus a bundle which included a PS5, extra controller and headset for £598.98.

John Lewis is rumoured to be expecting big shipments of the Sony consoles within the next couple of weeks which could mean online drops very soon.

That's according to gaming experts who have been keeping an eye on the PlayStation 5 release ever since it was first brought out in the UK back in November, 2020.

John Lewis & Partners has said on their website that they are expecting more stock of PlayStation 5 consoles and bundles between late September and early October.

They have indicated that they expect to receive a shipment of consoles around September 20, indicating a possible restock either the end of September or early October.

Make sure you save John Lewis's PS5 landing page here to keep up to date with their future drop.

In the UK, the PlayStation 5 console was made available to buy on November 19, 2020 and sold out instantly.

The Sony PlayStation 5 comes in two forms - the PS5 console: £449.99 and the PS5 Digital Edition console: £359.99.

The only difference between the PS5 console and the PS5 Digital Edition console is the inclusion of an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive in the PS5 console. The PS5 Digital Edition console does not feature a disc drive.
