It’s one of the most highly anticipated gaming consoles of the year, and now Sony has finally given us all the details for the PlayStation 5.
The gaming giant announced the price and release date for both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition during its showcase event on Wednesday.
Thankfully, the consoles are fairly reasonably priced, contrary to many predictions.
The PlayStation 5 is priced at £449.99/ $499.99 / AU$749.95, while the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition is slightly cheaper at $399.99 / £359.99 / AU$749.95.
This makes the PlayStation 5 $100 more expensive than its predecessor, the PlayStation 4.
However, the price matches that of its rival, the Xbox Series X, which is also going on sale this November.
Major retailers including Amazon, ShopTo, Argos, Currys and Very have already set up pre-order pages and these are now live for shoppers to take advantage of.
Shoppers can also save an extra £15 off their PS5 pre-order purchases thank to TopCashback's latest deal.
