PlayStation 5 images show DualSense controller in stunning detail

It’s one of the most eagerly anticipated gaming console of 2020, and now new image has been posted of the PlayStation 5 controller.

Evzen Elite has posted several images of the DualSense controller, showing the device in stunning detail.

The images show that while the console has a white design, up close it’s actually covered in tiny PlayStation 5 symbols.

Sony has already confirmed several of the key features for the DualSense controller, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

Jim Ryan, President & CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment, said: “First, we’re adopting haptic feedback to replace the “rumble” technology found in controllers since the 5th generation of consoles.

“With haptics, you truly feel a broader range of feedback, so crashing into a wall in a race car feels much different than making a tackle on the football field. You can even get a sense for a variety of textures when running through fields of grass or plodding through mud.

“The second innovation is something we call adaptive triggers, which have been incorporated into the trigger buttons (L2/R2).

“Developers can program the resistance of the triggers so that you feel the tactile sensation of drawing a bow and arrow or accelerating an off-road vehicle through rocky terrain.

“In combination with the haptics, this can produce a powerful experience that better simulates various actions.”

Thankfully, there’s not long to wait before keen fans can get their hands on the PlayStation 5 themselves.

The official release date is November 12, with fans in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand South Korea able to get their hands on the console on that date.

However, it’s not good news for British PlayStation fans, who will have to wait another week to buy the PS5.

The official UK release date is November 19.

In terms of pricing, the PlayStation 5 is priced at £449.99/ $499.99 / AU$749.95, and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition is slightly cheaper at $399.99 / £359.99 / AU$749.95.
