It’s been almost three years since Sony launched its last PlayStation console, and unsurprisingly fans are keen to see what it has in store next.
Now, despite knowing little about the PlayStation 5 itself, we may know the console’s first game.
Daedalic Entertainment has announced that it’s developing a new game called The Lord of the Rings: Gollum , that’s set to launch in 2021.
This just happens to be the same year the PlayStation 5 is expected to be unveiled.

The developer has fuelled the PS5 rumours further, saying that it will launch on ‘all relevant console platforms at that time.’
The game itself is a narrative-driver action adventure that tells Gollum’s story.
Carsten Fichtelmann, CEO at Daedalic, said: “We tell Gollum's story from a perspective never seen before, in any storytelling medium, all the while staying true to the legendary books of J.R.R. Tolkien.

Unsurprisingly, Sony is yet to comment to the rumours. Watch this space though!
